31 Days to Build a Better Blog

This is a little off topic, but I thought it’d be valuable to share and let all our readers know about our commitment to providing you the best online experience here on the Ya’axche blog.

We at Ya’axche, in particular our blog administrator, have joined this year’s “31 Days to Build a Better Blog” hosted by ProBlogger.  This online tutorial provides techniques for writing more interesting posts and engaging with you, our audience.

probloggerThe idea is simple.  Over 31 days, professional blogger Darren Rowse (Twitter @ProBlogger) provides teaching tips and actionable items that will improve the quality of a weblog and the communication it affords with its audience.

Blogs are a unique, new communication and news medium of this 21st century and we think it’s fair to say everyone involved is still learning a bit about how the technology can best be utilized.  More than simply “telling” you what we’re doing, we at Ya’axche would like to engage you in conversation about the things we care about:  Conservation, land use planning and community development.  Our commitment to 31 Days to Build a Better Blog is a commitment to you.

It’s somewhat ironic he chose to run this in April, a month falling one day short of the 31 day requisite, but we won’t fault him for that.  If you’re a blogger yourself, consider joining.  It would be fun to talk to someone sharing in the learning.

But most of all, thanks to all of you for reading.  Your time and support mean a lot to us!
